Chimichurri Grilled Steak

 Chimichurri Grilled Steak

Ingredients

• 2 lbs (900 g) steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank)

• Salt and pepper to taste

• 2 tablespoons olive oil

Chimichurri Sauce

• 1 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

• 1/4 cup fresh oregano, finely chopped

• 4 cloves garlic, minced

• 1/2 cup olive oil

• 1/4 cup red wine vinegar

• 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

• Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1. Prepare chimichurri sauce: In a bowl, mix

together the chopped parsley, oregano, minced

garlic, olive oil, red wine vinegar, red pepper

flakes, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce sit for at

least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

2. Season steak: Season the steak generously

with salt and pepper on both sides. Drizzle with

olive oil and rub it in to ensure even coating.

3. Preheat grill: Preheat your grill to high heat.

4. Grill steak: Place the steak on the hot grill and

cook for 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare,

or until it reaches your desired level of

doneness. Use a meat thermometer to ensure

 proper cooking (130°F/54°C for medium-rare).

5. Rest steak: Remove the steak from the grill and

let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This

allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

6. Serve: Slice the steak against the grain and

serve with chimichurri sauce drizzled over the

top. Enjoy your delicious Chimichurri Grilled Steak!
